Prime Minister Edi Rama together with the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, have inaugurated the newest space of the creative industry, “Micro Folie”, in the capital, which aims to bring more young people and children with technology and art.
Mayor Veliaj said that this first center that was opened in the garden after the Prime Minister, will have others in every corner of Tirana.
“Since the Prime Minister told me before the New Year that he had seen a fantastic concept in France, where practically from 5 small boxes that can be put in a van, the whole environment opens, like a tent mainly for children who want to take with the digital space, to see how they can do creative things with their hands, with their mind and imagination I am very happy today that we managed to bring this project from Paris to Tirana. Micro Folie is exactly what we probably do not have in our homes, where we are often told: “do not touch it”, “do not harass”, “do not spoil this”! Here, in fact anything is allowed. Creativity, fantasy, cooperation with each other, use of walls, printing, sewing, all toys are allowed, so I would very much like this first pilot whom the Prime Minister insisted to do in the heart of Tirana, to treat it as a story the success that we want to replicate in Lapraka, Kombinat, in Kinostudio, Sauk and in every corner of Tirana and maybe in every corner of Albania, “said Veliaj.
While Prime Minister Rama said that soon a mobile bus will come for activities and spectacles in every community. I am extremely glad that it was opened just at the beginning of this year, which is the year of “Tirana Youth Capital” and which is the year we want to dedicate entirely to youth and children. We are working in parallel with the structures of “Micro Folie” to bring another innovation with the Ministry of Culture, which is the innovation of a large moving bus for spectacles that leads to the communities of opera, music, theater, works, making them more accessible but also closer to the people in the community. Soon we will bring the first bus, but not the only one and with Micro Folie on one side and the show buses, I believe we will give a boost to the leisure space we have decided to do our best to we fill it with as many activities and as many opportunities for children and young people, ”he said.
“Micro Folie” includes digital museums, laboratories and games for the purpose of informing, educating and entertaining children and young people with local and world art.
