A move to the market has cost Maciej Rybus dearly. The footballer of the Polish national team recently reached an agreement with Spartak Moscow and next season will play in the Russian elite.
But, as Russia is currently facing restrictions from many countries due to the war it opened in Ukraine, the football world has also taken its measures.
In this form, Poland has decided not to hire the defender because of the firm in Russia, while Maciej Rybus also loses participation in the World Cup in Qatar. Interestingly, Rybus also holds the national record for the number of appearances, however the Polish Federation has made no concessions and formalized the strict decision related to opposition to Russia’s political movements.
In fact, since 2017, Rybus plays in Russia while previously being part of Lokomotiv Moscow. At the end of the contract, the Polish Federation expected the defender to leave Russia and stabilize in another country. But, Rybus chose another path and already has to face this penalty that deprives him of the opportunity to play even one of the most important competitions for footballers such as the World Cup.
Meanwhile, two other Polish players were active in Russia, such as Grzegorz Krychowiak and Sebastian Szymanski, but the latter decided to leave this market and in this form are expected to be regularly part of the national team.
