As a result of the reactivation of the fire in the southern area of the island of Sazan, since noon on Sunday, 61 members of the Navy and Land Forces, but also employees of the Agency of Protected Areas and the fire brigade of Vlora are engaged in extinguishing of flames on the island.
The terrain and dense vegetation have made it extremely difficult for troops to intervene, while as a former military unit, unexploded ordnance also poses a threat.
