Russian beauty Kristina Dukhina faces a maximum of 20 years in prison after Moscow police found a pound of mefedron in her apartment.
The 34-year-old former finalist of Miss Dubai and now owner of a modeling agency, was stopped near her luxury apartment in the area of high-rise buildings in Moscow.
In 2019 Dukina was announced Miss Grand Prix Federation, and won another beauty pageant in 2020.
But now she faces up to maybe two decades in prison when police after an information seized the model with half a kilogram of mefedron, a relatively new, synthetic psycho-stimulant drug of the amphetamine and catonin category.
The mother of two is currently being investigated as a drug dealer for illegal sale.
Dukina has recently left social networks and online activities, writing: “I am leaving social networks. “I will take only my loved ones with me to the sterile room of my new life.”
The drug mefedron has been produced since the middle of the last century but only became known in 1999–2000 when it was legal to own, produce or distribute.
Its ban came gradually in 2008-2009, while in 2010 it was illegal in most EU countries.
