One day Kate Smith from Mesa Arizona in the USA, woke up and found a group of wild cats that had been placed in the garden before her entrance. She was not surprised by the development and started posting their photos on social media.
“Apparently I turned into a resident agency for wild cats,” the woman wrote. “It was two weeks ago and three now that they are in the garden in front of my entrance.”
Over time the cats became more and more comfortable and approached the door of Smith’s house.
“They have been staying here for a month,” the woman wrote for those interested on social networks.
“I was told that the puppies are old enough to go hunting on their own, but they are not moving.”
This is not the first time such cats have approached Smith’s home which lives in the Usery Nature Reserve, but previous meetings had only lasted a few days.
Smith contacted Arizona animal and fish officials about the situation but their response was not encouraging.
“They told me that if we remove them from their territory, they will not survive. “They are very territorial animals and if you put them in another area, they can not do it.”
“Anyway we are happy to have our garden space again even though we miss the lynx,” Smith wrote.
