“We welcome the full harmonization of Montenegro with the EU security policy, including restrictive measures and their implementation in practice, which has been proven in the ban on Lavrov’s flight,” Stano said in a statement to the media. .
He added that the EU and many other countries were imposing sanctions, barring Russian planes from flying over their territories and banning “travel for instigators of war and individuals like Lavrov”.
Lavrov’s visit to Serbia was canceled on June 6th after Northern Macedonia, Montenegro and Bulgaria refused to allow Lavrov’s plane to pass through their airspace.
