Enver Hoxhaj: We in the Balkans do not know how to use the geo-political situation to benefit from the war in Ukraine. Solidarity with Ukraine is necessary, but a geopolitical regime of Europe and the West would have to be conveyed in the policy of expansion, and in the expansion of NATO.
The last EU summit was a failure summit. I have expected that after February 24 there will be new speed and new access. Decisions were not made, even with Albania and North Macedonia, or with regard to the non-liberalization of visas. This shows that the EU has not learned from what is happening in Ukraine. If there is the first front of the traditional war, what Russia is doing in the Balkans is the hybrid war, the use of tensions or destabilization. If I had a hope 6 months ago, the EU is led by the leaders of the status quo, which is a recipe for destruction for the region and Europe.
