The Institute of Public Health loses a personality in the field of immunization.
Died Dr. Ibrahim Luloçi, otherwise known as Dr. Mimi. As an experienced epidemiologist, he worked for many years at the aerogenic microbial ward, leading several vaccination campaigns from smallpox in 1972 to polio, the mass campaigns of Measles and Rubella in 2000-2001.
Dr. Luloçi was the founder of the expanded vaccination program and together with other colleagues created the first modern refrigerated warehouse in the country for storing vaccines.
Rest in peace Dr. Mimi! Respect and gratitude from all IPH staff.
