A doctor in Sacramento, California joined a court hearing at Zoom while operating on a patient in the operating room.
Scott Green was wearing the surgical uniform when he appeared at his virtual trial Thursday, the Sacramento Bee reported.
The judge said this would not be “suitableAnd adjourned the trial. The California Medical Board has now said in a statement that it will review the incident, adding that “expects physicians to follow the standard of care when treating their patients“.
Prior to the Sacramento Supreme Court hearing, which was broadcast live on YouTube, a court clerk asked the plastic surgeon: “Hello, Mr. Green? Are you available for trial? It looks like you are in an operating room“.
Green replied: “I am, sir. Yes, I’m in an operating room now. Yes, I am available for trial. Keep“.
