The director of the Stolac Health Center, Kazimir Raguz, spoke to the Bosnian media after an earthquake struck Bosnia tonight after 23:00
The epicenter of this earthquake was near Stolac, so the city is most affected. As previously reported, unfortunately a girl lost her life after a stone fell on a house. Raguz said that apart from this case, there are no other seriously injured citizens of Stolac.
“Tonight around 23:00 a strong earthquake occurred. Some injured have been reported to our center. “One person was seriously injured and we transported him to the hospital in Mostar and some others had minor injuries,” said Raguz.
He did not give many details about the injured girl, but her family members previously confirmed to klix.ba that she had unfortunately passed away.
“We came here tonight with four emergency teams, we are ready to react if necessary for other cases. What we know from the terrain is that there were small landslides, some damage to the facades, etc. “Civil protection will further assess the situation on the ground and will help all those who need help,” he said.
When he spoke about the injuries of the citizens, he indicated that it was about scratches, sprains of the joints, etc., and after receiving first aid they returned home.
