With seven votes in favor and four against, the special session of the judges of the Supreme Court has selected the eighth constitutional judge.
He is a former member of the High Council of the Prosecution, Sander Beci, who upon receiving the decree from the President of the Republic will become the judge of the eighth Constitutional Court.
Beci will have an additional three-year term replacing the vetting-fired judge, Fatmir Hoxha. While the replacement of Vitore Tushë, the incumbent mayor with completed mandates is expected to be elected in the coming days.
With the appointment by President Ilir Meta of Judge Gentian Medja, the Supreme Court became 11 (eleven) out of 19 members that this court should have.
