The Constitutional Council in France has given the green light to impose severe restrictive measures on citizens who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Those who have not been vaccinated or cured of Covid-19 will not have access to all public services, according to the law passed by the council last night.
After this decision, everyone must present the vaccination certificate, which documents the vaccination or cure status of a person. The presentation of the vaccination certificate will be mandatory in restaurants, bars, cultural and sports facilities, and during long-distance train travel.
Those who choose to be vaccinated against coronavirus by mid-February will still be allowed to submit a negative test by then. However, the Constitutional Council decided that the restrictions should remain in force as long as the pandemic situation is critical. The judges also ruled that the unvaccinated could not be denied access to political events.
