The United States has said it will ask the General Assembly to suspend Russia from the Human Rights Council.
A two-thirds majority of the 193-member assembly in New York may suspend a state from the council for continuing to commit serious and systematic human rights violations during its membership.
This U.S. move comes immediately as a sanction against Russia after the tragedy it caused in Bucha where it killed dozens of civilians and left them dead on the city streets.
