British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on Sunday afternoon, March 20, promised continued military support for Ukraine.
“The Prime Minister underscored the United Kingdom’s continued commitment to working with international partners to coordinate support for strengthening Ukraine’s self-defense,” said a statement from the British Prime Minister’s Office.
The statement also said that the two leaders stressed the importance of sanctions for putting pressure on Putin, as well as condemned the attacks on innocent civilians after the Mariupol attack.
