Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was hospitalized in Sao Paulo on Monday morning due to abdominal pain. The news was learned from the UOL newspaper, according to which doctors suspect an intestinal blockage, a problem that Bolsonaro had shown in the past.
He was forced to interrupt his vacation in the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. He had been there since December 27, along with his wife and some of his staff.
In mid-July 2021, Bolsonaro was hospitalized in a city in Brasilia, the country’s capital, due to a persistent hiccup that had started ten days earlier. After some tests, doctors decided to transfer him to a hospital in Sao Paulo to continue with some more specialized checks for his health. Medical staff managed to detect an intestinal blockage. He was released from the hospital a few days later.
