Jetmir Kurtsmajlaj, a 27-year-old Albanian man who was arrested for attempted murder after stabbing his ex-girlfriend in Italy, cried for three hours as he recounted the event.

Foreign media report that the Albanian could not accept the separation from the 21-year-old even though the relationship between them had lasted only a few months. Overwhelmed with anger, he started threatening messages to her through social networks, where he wrote: “I will kill you.”
The girl, extremely frightened, did not find the courage to denounce him and decided to manage this whole situation herself, hoping that sooner or later he would calm down and the threats would end.
On February 16 she decided to meet Jetmir in an apartment in San Salavrio, Turin. Jetmiri ambushed him, grabbed him from behind and threatened him with a syringe filled with poison around his neck. Georgia managed to escape and get out of the house before it was too late.
Kurtsmajlaj did not give any explanation for this attack, on the contrary he denied that it ever happened. As for the last meeting, where he attacked him with a knife, he said:
“She asked me to see her on Saturday, but I could not. So we met on Sunday afternoon near the house, through Nizza. We walked for a long time then I said I had to go upstairs to drink some water. But when I went up I saw the knife and decided to punish him. I put the knife under my jacket, along with the tobacco, and went down to it again. “I remember the first blow and then the last.”
