At least eight injured from yesterday’s attack in Chicago, at the Fourth of July parade, remain in hospitals as their condition is not very good.
North Shore University Hospital Group spokesman Jim Anthony said they will continue to remain in the hospital, but did not provide details about their medical conditions.
Thirty-eight patients were initially admitted for treatment after the parade, Anthony said, at three of the group’s hospitals: Evanston Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital and Highland Park Hospital.
“We were able to mobilize quickly,” Anthony said. “Our doctors and nurses and medical support staff train for situations like this, not that we ever want to see them in real life.”
