The Chief of the General Staff of the USA, General Mark A. Milley met today at the Pentagon with the Chief of General Staff of Albania, Major General Bajram Begaj.
They discussed issues of common concern, including Russia’s continued occupation of Ukraine and the responses of the United States and Albania.
“I had an excellent discussion this week with the Albanian defense chief, May. Gen. Bajram Begaj. For 100 years, our two nations have shared a strong diplomatic relationship. Another 100 years of forced passage. Our NATO alliance is stronger than ever!“, Wrote on social networks Milley.
This is Major General Bajram Begaj’s first visit to the Pentagon. Albania is a close NATO ally, a leader in global security and stability, and shares a long and vital partnership with the United States. The two countries will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the partnership this July.
