The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Region of Fier, Taulant Balla, accompanied by the Mayor Armando Subashi, commemorated today in Gorishovo the 78th anniversary of the massacre of the Hekal Councilors, part of the national liberation council, who were shot by a German military team.
Through a post on the social network Facebook, Balla declares that their patriotism and heroism is a continuation through the years and common to all. This was in fact related to the history of Hekal, known for patriotism, as one of the great villages of heroic Mallakastra.
Balla also states in his note that
as Chairman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group will continue to promote anti-fascist values, undeniable efforts and sublime sacrifices of the freedom-loving Albanian people in the Second World War.
“These values underlie democratic Albania, democratic Europe and European Albania. “Albania is going to Europe, like the Albania of partisans, anti-fascists and liberators”, declares Balla.
Full post by Taulant Ballës:
Cakran, Fier We commemorated in Gorishovo the 78th anniversary of the massacre of the Hekal Councilors, part of the national liberation council, who were shot by a German military squad. “Ismail Qemali knights”, that was the name of the councilors at that time.
This epithet was common to all. Some of them participated in the raising of the flag in Vlora on November 28, 1912. Their patriotism and heroism is a continuation through the years and common to all. This was in fact related to the history of Hekal, known for patriotism, as one of the great villages of heroic Mallakastra. This village with traditions gave to the War 170 partisans and 40 martyrs of the homeland.
Albanian partisans and national liberation councils fought against the savage occupiers, who did not come to Albania as passers-by, but with a clear and declared goal: the conquest of the country. This is not only said by us, not only by serious Albanian historians and patriots, but also by prestigious foreign scholars. The American historian Bernd Fischer, in his book “Albania during the war, 1939-1945”, referring to German documents, describes the entry of German forces into Albanian territory as a real occupation: “The military planners of the German Wehrmacht, underlines Fischer, they had well prepared plans for the invasion of Albania. “
As Chairman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, I will continue to promote anti-fascist values, undeniable efforts and sublime sacrifices of the freedom-loving Albanian people in the Second World War. These values underlie democratic Albania, democratic Europe and European Albania. Albania is going to Europe, like the Albania of partisans, anti-fascists and liberators.
