Eduard Beqiri, a policeman at the Delvina police station, ended his life by committing suicide with his service weapon.
He worked for years as a security officer in public facilities, while recently he was seen to have a serious psychological condition.
Preliminary evidence speaks of complicated family relations. 54-year-old Beqiri was married and his family lived between Gjirokastra and Delvina, conditioned by his work position.
“On 08.07.2022, at around 21:00, in Delvina, it is suspected that he committed suicide with his service weapon in his apartment, citizen EB, 54 years old, with the duty of security and information service at the Delvina Police Station”according to police.
According to the police, the investigative team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances.
