Following the work to prevent and crack down on illegality in the field of criminal activity of providing assistance for illegal border crossing, the services of DVKM Gjirokastra, in cooperation with the Section for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking and Narcotics in DVP Gjirokastra, have made the arrest of citizen HA, 54 years old, resident in Mallakastër.
This citizen was arrested after being caught by the Police services, near the Kakavija Border Crossing Point, transporting, for profit, 2 Albanian citizens, in order to cross the border to Greece, illegally.
The vehicle and a mobile phone were seized as material evidence.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance, for the criminal offenses “Assistance in illegal border crossing” and “Concealment of income”.
