The Minister of Education, Evis Kushi, reacted today after the parents took their children in the protest against the price increase. What shocked Minister Kushi is a 10-year-old who used insulting words.
Through a post on “Facebook”, Kushi writes that the little girl was taught everything she spoke by heart and that the minister herself can not tolerate the abuse of students.
Kushi also adds in her post on social media that she protests against those parents who abuse, or allow their children to be abused by others in protests.

By chance I saw in the media a little girl about 10 years old, riding on the protest podium, talking about rising prices and the need to raise wages. He even held in his hands and talked about the urban plan of an area here in Tirana.
At one point the little girl, stimulated even by the applause of the exalted citizens, started cursing with insulting, even embarrassing words, and surprisingly dozens of media microphones continued to be addressed with a lot of focus and interest towards her.
It was clear that everything had been taught to her by heart, and the little girl articulated the words without realizing their significance, nor the real reasons or purpose of the protest.
I was really shocked by this event, because in our schools a wide army of teachers devotes endless energy to educating students or children with the language of respect, understanding and peaceful communication with each other.
I am not against protests if they are fair, peaceful and aimed at a high public interest. But I can not accept the abuse of students or children and their education, contrary to the basic principles and norms of democracy and citizenship.
I therefore protest against those parents who abuse, or allow their children to be abused by others in protest, and I call on everyone as a society to strongly condemn and react to such events.
Dear parents, let the children grow up calmly in their childhood and learn as much value as possible! I invite you to be supportive of your children’s teachers as well, preparing them as good citizens worthy of our society.
