The ambassadors of the five countries, the US, Germany, France, Britain, Italy and the EU, are expected to meet with current DP leader Lulzim Basha a day after increased tensions at the blue headquarters.
The former leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, entered the blue headquarters the day before to hold a meeting with the 29 members of the Re-establishment Commission.
He said that the members of the DP Provisional Commission, elected in the December 11 Assembly, will hold meetings in the House of Democrats, in order to discuss important problems of the future.
Berisha stated that no one has a job with Basha’s office, emphasizing that “ we come here to do a meeting. Deputeti Basha by the 18th it must reflect on the decision of the most extraordinary Assembly in the history of the nation ”.
“We are here to bring the will of the majority of Albanian democrats. As you can see, it is the members of the PD Provisional Commission elected in the last Assembly who have come to sit at the Democrats’ headquarters and discuss important future issues. Now we are climbing up. We have no work in Basha’s office. Today we come here to do a meeting. MP Basha until the 18th should reflect on the decision of the most extraordinary assembly in the history of the nation. We do not have a job in Basha’s office. He has taken all the chairs in his office because his chair is not enough“, Berisha said later for the media.
Regarding the report to SPAK, he said that it is a shameful firm, calling Basha an MP.
“Another shameful company of MP Basha who sues his colleagues in his and Rama’s prosecution. “There is no more unworthy act”, said Berisha.
After entering the premises of the PD house, there were also accusations against Basha.
“Basha’s madness has taken all the chairs”, said the former Prime Minister of Albania.
The latter stressed that the decisions that will be taken after the meeting will be made public to the media.
The day before, two parallel meetings were held on the second floor of the PD building. Gazmend Bardhi, Alfred Rushaj, Jonila Godole, Jemin Gjana and Fitim Zekthi were present at Basha’s meeting.
According to a PD announcement, a meeting was held for the Reporting Working Group on the FRPD elections.
On the other hand, Berisha and the other 28 members of the Re-establishment Commission were placed in the meeting room of the parliamentary group.
