IMRO MEP Angel Djambazki, along with party supporters, blocked the entrance to the house of GERB leader Boyko Borisov in Bankya.
The protest started this evening, while Borisov was not seen, writes Flagman.bg.
The reason for their dissatisfaction is the request of GERB to support the French proposal for Northern Macedonia to start negotiations for EU membership.
There were also small clashes in front of the former prime minister’s house, but tensions eased after Djambazki assured them that their aim was not to create unpleasant situations. He addressed the GERB representatives that they are in front of important decisions and should defend the Bulgarian positions.
“We have come to meet the man who is hesitant. We want to tell Mr. Borisov and all the deputies that this cause overcomes all internal party quarrels. “National treason must not be allowed in the coming days.”asked Djambazki.
“GERB has never committed national treason. We have signed the Neighborhood Agreement. “The European Commission and the whole EU are guarantors for the fulfillment of the conditions and the conditions set by GERB are included in this proposal”, said the president of MGERB, Georg Georgiev.
For her part, the chairwoman of the GERB parliamentary group, Desislava Atanasova, read out the party’s proposals to defend Bulgaria’s national interest.
