Among the guests present was Michele Cattoni, Vice President of Heated Tobacco Products at PMI who discussed the technology and cyber security behind their products.
“Of course, since technology is a very important link in the equipment that PMI produces, we are even more careful to protect our customers from any cyber attack. “Even if it reaches the heart of the software that the device uses, PMI has made it possible that this piece of information can not be used by people who want to duplicate it or use it for their own profitable purposes”, said Cattoni. This statement also came as a reaction to the attempts of ‘hackers’ to intervene in the heating equipment system by PMI.
The international mission of this company is to replace cigarettes with new alternatives.
