Pursuant to the broad operational plan for the fight against Informality, as one of the objectives of the daily work of the Tax Administration, the structures of the Directorate of Verification and Field Monitoring have conducted a series of inspections, which shows that 25 entities, positioned in the territory of the Municipality of Kamza exercise their activity unregistered with the tax authority.
In complete contradiction with the tax legislation in force, the measure of blocking the activity with stripes has been taken against the taxpayers.
Such an organized and detailed action, with number, type of activity, and address of exercise activity, in a territory of a Municipality (Kamza) is carried out for the first time after the action of 2015.
The Tax Administration explains that a total of over 60 verification checks were performed, of which 25 individuals exercised unregistered activity in the tax authorities, 12 entities, which although were on the list reported by the Municipality of Kamza for irregularities, the verifications showed that they were registered with NIPT and 2 entities that were with suspended activity, were reactivated by the Tax Administration in accordance with applicable law.
This action, focusing on the provision and fulfillment of tax obligations by taxpayers will have a continuous extension throughout the territory of the Republic of Albania.
While on duty, on-site verification and monitoring inspectors were provided with identification uniforms, a novelty for the Tax Administration, which has set a new standard for identifying on-site inspectors in order to avoid abuses and informal visits.
The Tax Administration clarifies that the work will continue as the fight against informality belongs to all of us, so we ask every entity or consumer to report cases of irregularities or abuse of office, in accordance with the law.
