Sunny Hill Festival will be held in Prishtina and Tirana. For the first time the festival will take place in two Albanian capitals, on 4-5-6 and 7 August in Prishtina and on 26-27-28 August in Tirana.
After it was announced earlier that the festival would be moved to Tirana due to delays by the Kosovo authorities in allocating space for the festival, today, through a joint statement, the festival organizers, the Kosovo Ministry of Culture and the municipality of Prishtina announced that the festival will be held again in Prishtina in a convenient location.
“The Government of Kosovo, the Municipality of Prishtina and the Sunny Hill Festival join forces for a wonderful edition of the festival this year, where it belongs, in Prishtina. The central and local institutions together, according to their mandate, will provide full support for this year’s edition, which will be held in a convenient location. “Everyone expresses their readiness to discuss the issue of long-term land use for a while until a lasting solution is found.”
But despite the return of Sunny Hill to Pristina, a special edition will be held in Tirana at the end of August.
“In the spirit of excellent cultural cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, a special edition with another line-up will be held at the end of August in Tirana on August 26-27-28.”
This year, the Sunny Hill Festival will be attended by well-known artists such as Diplo, Skepta, DJ Regard, AJ Tracey, Mahmood and the most famous Albanian artists, but the names of two world great artists are also expected to be revealed.
