This is the fifth year that the community centers have offered summer camps for children from families in need, giving them the opportunity to spend a fun summer filled with educational activities.
“The municipality of Tirana has been organizing camps for 5 years through community centers, for children from families in need, with social and economic problems. The camp started after school ended, with a lot of social, educational and fun activities. They don’t have the opportunity to go to private camps, community centers offer this opportunity”. said Egla, from the Kombinat Community Center.
The children spent the days at the summer camp relaxing in the swimming pools or going on outdoor excursions.
“This year, we chose fun activities based on education, exploring different places, swimming pools. They were in Boville, Shëngjergj, paintball, horseback riding, farm activities, car races. Inclusion has been a focus throughout this year. More than 70 children participated”she further added.
During these activities, the children have also created new societies.
“We enjoyed ourselves, we made friends and new friends, the most favorite part was the swimming pools”.
Even during the month of August there will be daily activities for children, so that they can spend their vacation days having fun before school starts in September.
