A series of diary entries written by Avicii in the years before his death are published in a forthcoming book. The notes shed light on the problems of the late DJ as he struggled with various health problems.
His latest diary entries written before his suicide will be published in Måns Mosesson’s next book, Tim – Avicii’s Official Biography.
The book will be published on January 18 and will detail the mental health of the “Levels” singer-songwriter and the problems of drug abuse.
DJ wrote: I had a hard time agreeing to never drink again, although I was strongly advised by all doctors to wait at least a year before drinking a beer. Of course, I did not listen to most of the doctors, I heard some who said it was okay if I was careful. I was ignorant and naive and did a lap around the world, still on an endless tour, because once you surrounded it once, find what? You start all over again. Those days in the hospital were the most anxiety-free and stress-free days I can remember the last six years, those were my real vacations, no matter how depressing they may seem. Facilitating the transition from extreme pain to no pain, knowing that no one expects anything other than that you wait for it (which is the only way to treat pancreatitis) and then recover, was great. It was an extreme relief considering the crazy schedule I had kept up to that point.
Avicii spent time at the Ibiza Calm rehabilitation center in 2015 after an intervention by his family. While there, he wrote about his pain.
“It had to be explained to me very logically, to really understand its nature and how it was hurting me. Oh, the pain. Why do I have pain now? Unpleasant feeling. My future faces pain. The team of the future deals with pain better than the current team, because there is already a lot of current pain more urgent to treat. ”
