This school year, there are a total of 11,075 high school students across the country out of 31,000 high school students who finished high school, who after completing the file with the grade certificate translated into the language of the country where they want to attend higher education and the photocopied diploma of notarized, also protected language if necessary, they are waiting for answers if they have been selected in the universities of the world, far from their place of residence.
While graduates who have chosen to continue their educational journey in Albania will start the online application through the u-albania university portal, which has not fallen prey to the cyber attack, for six days from July 29 to August 3. Young people will be given the opportunity to select 10 study programs from 560 branches offered by 39 public and private universities throughout Albania.
This is the first round of applications that takes place after the graduates have made the payment in the amount of 2000 lek in one of the second level banks and submitted it to the schools. After this process, the data will be processed by higher education institutions during the month of August and on August 31, the ranking of the applicants will be published on the u-albania portal, where graduates will learn which branches they have won. Then registrations start from September 2nd to September 15th.
As the best with absolute results grab the branches they want first, graduates who are not satisfied with the branches they have won, can apply again with 10 study program preferences. The second round is between September 22 and September 24, while the third and final round is from October 19 to October 21.
The innovation of this year is that the Ministry of Education has announced the branches with national priority which were in danger of being closed, where graduates with an average above 8.5 who choose to enroll in teaching, agriculture or tourism programs will be rewarded with a monthly scholarship in the value of the salary minimum, 3200 ALL.
