“Steps and traces” is the title of the exhibition opened in the interior of the Art School “Jordan Misja” in Tirana, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of one of the most important art institutions in the country.
There are 35 works of current teachers, realized at the time when they themselves were students of this school.
Hermon Madhi: It is called “Steps and traces”, because these drawings reflect the steps taken by teachers, but also the traces they have left on students and not only.
It has been difficult to preserve these drawings which are an asset to the Lyceum with a history having its origins in 1946, i.e. two years after the end of the war.
The oldest drawing is the portrait of the man in Labërie clothes, while the latest ones are the ones made in 2009. You gave us the idea of putting it up for auction, but I do not believe that we will sell them, as they have more weight and value. here at school.
