This is the moment when three people dressed in black with Halloween masks on their faces and armed with Kalashnikovs robbed the bank.

Based on security cameras, they first confront the bank guard, lying him on the ground and holding him hostage on the bank premises. One of them then threatens the audience with a gun and keeps the guard lying on the ground, while the other two go to get the money with a black bag. Attendees are lying on the ground, terrified by the event. After receiving the money, they leave in a black “Golf” car.

One month after the robbery, the police were able to identify and arrest the suspected perpetrators of this event.
Bekim Gurraj, 22 years old, Armir Shabaj, 25 years old and Admir Shabaj, 19 years old, resident in Aliaj, Malësi e Madhe, were handcuffed.

Their identification came after a 4-week investigative work which focused mainly on security cameras. Police identified that a few days before the event 22-year-old Bekim Guraj dressed as a police officer stood in front of the bank and studied the bank environment and then in cooperation with his two cousins ​​Armir and Admir Shabaj with a masked vehicle type “Golf 3” and armed with 2 Kalashnikovs committed the robbery.

In the waters of the “Eye of Shegan” they threw the weapons that carried out the robbery, which were found by RENEA divers.

Shkodra Police, operational forces and RENEA exercised control in the apartments of the friends of the perpetrators but also in the apartments that are suspected to have been used by them. Thanks to these checks, the police discovered a bar house, seized narcotics as well as equipment used to grow drugs.

Police seized 31 kilograms of cannabis and arrested in flagrante delicto 6 other people, 3 have been prosecuted while one is a search.

During the search of the apartment of Ramiz Nikdukaj, 64 years old, in Koplik, a grass house and 22 kilograms of cannabis sativa were found ready for sale.

Even in the backyard he had cultivated about 300 cannabis roots among the grape vines. He was arrested while his son was declared wanted. His 2 workers from Cërrik, who were maintaining the narcotics, were also handcuffed.

While in the apartment of Albin Shabaj, who has social ties with the perpetrators of the bank robbery, 9 kilograms of cannabis were found and seized. For this, brothers Albin and Altin Shabaj were arrested in flagrante delicto, as well as their father, Ermir Shabaj, for the criminal offense “Production and sale of narcotics”, committed in collaboration.
