The United States has not yet received a response from Russia to its written documents submitted weeks ago to Moscow, State Department spokeswoman Ned Price said Monday.
“We have seen comments from the Kremlin, from Moscow, that show that their response, in their words, has been finalized. I believe it has been more than two weeks since we sent our request to Moscow. “We have not yet seen a response,” he told a State Department conference.
Price said the US would “carefully consider” the answer once it was received.
“We are prepared to engage in diplomacy, we hope to engage in good faith, dialogue and diplomacy, but in order to be in good faith, of course, this will require the Russians to respond in the same way,” he said.
“For this to bear fruit, it will have to happen in the context of de-escalation as well. “And this is not something we have seen so far,” Price said.
