The Prime Minister of the country, at the same time the chairman of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama, is in Shkodra today, where he is concluding the electoral campaign for the by-elections on March 6.
Shkodra is one of the 6 municipalities that will vote for the new mayor. The only municipality that is run from the right and therefore, according to the chief socialist, is the only municipality that is not developed like other municipalities in our country.
“We are here. We are ready to raise Shkodra from its knees where those who have been fortunate enough to govern it have lowered it for many years, but they have never restored their trust through work and deeds.
We tell all those who at 6 have the opportunity to vote. It is an opportunity to do what the leaders want to do here, turn Shkodra into a locomotive of work and change for the whole region.
Here is a little further Malësia e Madhe, here is Puka, with much smaller opportunities than Shkodra. You see, they were all in the same situation, but today others are walking. The Municipality of Puka, Vau i Dejës, Puka walks. The only municipality that does not walk is the municipality of Shkodra. Here people should no longer be with their eyes and even their noses closed, not smelling the garbage. Not that everywhere municipalities shine with dirt, but here is the climax”.
Before the Socialists, Rama says that for Shkodra, Majlinda Angoni is the right solution, as the Democratic candidates represent the desperate race between the leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha, and the former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha:
“We have the pleasure and pride to tell the people of Shkodra that you can choose a lady who comes from the path of work, of success.
On the other hand, the democrats of Shkodra must choose two alternatives that do not have to do with Shkodra, but with the war between two individuals. A personal fight, for completely personal purposes. One that will return with anyone from the other world and one that will stay where it is at all costs”.
On Sunday, the battle for the northern capital is expected to be the fiercest, as the Socialists seek to break the Democratic stronghold, while the right-wingers have the race within the genre.
