A luxury car of almost 3 million dollars, was torn to pieces after colliding with a tree stump in the Netherlands, while being driven by the mechanic of the store that sold it.
The unfortunate accident that destroyed the Ferrari Enzo vehicle, of which only 300 are produced worldwide, happened yesterday in Baarn, near Amsterdam.
Ferrari cars are difficult to drive and several cases have been reported of loss of control by new drivers of the sports vehicle.
The mechanic escaped unharmed in the incident but the car had suffered extensive damage.
The vehicle had opened the airbags and two wheels had been destroyed, along with some parts of the damping.
Witnesses said the vehicle stuck its head in the cut tree trunk on the side of the road.
“The Ferrari shop here is only two kilometers away, it looks like a car owned by a customer.”
“The weather conditions were humid and cold, maybe three degrees. Hit the tree stump by the passenger. “I’m not sure how it happened but the driver then wanted to take it back to the car shop,” said the witness.
This type of luxury car was produced by Ferrari from 2002 to 2004.
Initially when it came out it cost around $ 500,000 but since then the Enzo type has grown a lot in value.
A 2003 Ferrari Enzo was recently sold at Sotheby’s auctions for $ 3,360,000
