A mayor of a village in Ukraine was abducted, executed and thrown into a pit in the forest along with her husband and son.
Mayor Olga Sukhenko, her husband Igor and son Alexander were reportedly abducted on March 23.
Their fate was unknown until the bodies were found Saturday in a shallow grave behind houses that Russian soldiers had used as makeshift shelters.
Neighbors told The Sun that Russian troops occupying Motyzhy, a village 30 miles west of Kiev, tried to gain the support of local officials and when they refused to cooperate, slaughtered them.
The gruesome footage emerged after Putin’s forces withdrew from the Kiev region in the direction of Belarus.
Ukrainian officials say 410 people have been found dead in cities near Kiev so far.
At least 300 were killed in Bucha alone. Among the dead is a 14-year-old boy.
