Seven people, including a pregnant woman, lost their lives today in a serious bus accident between the two main cities of Colombia.
The tragedy occurred at 3:00 in the morning in the municipality of San Luis, on the road that connects Medellín with the capital Bogotá.
“Two women and five men lost their lives, all in adulthood. The rest have minor injuries, “a San Luis local government spokesman told AFP.
In footage released to the media an official said the bus had 46 people at the time of the accident.
The images showed the road barrier destroyed at the scene of the accident, as police and firefighters were conducting relief operations.
Authorities have not yet mentioned the possible causes of the incident.
