The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuçi., Has stated that Serbs from Kosovo have proposed at the meeting to leave all institutions of Kosovo due to the refusal of official Pristina for them to vote in the April 3 elections.
He said that for the needs of the Serbian parliamentary and presidential elections, polling stations for Serbs from Kosovo will open in central Serbia on April 3. He added that in the conversation with the Serbs from Kosovo, there was talk about the decision of official Pristina not to allow the April 3 elections, N1 reports.
“In the end, they did not want to accept, because they asked us for de facto consent for the independence of Kosovo,” said Vucic, adding that none of what was proposed by the Serbian side was enough for official Pristina.
“We agreed to include Kosovo’s request for co-operation to enable the OSCE and to appoint a liaison officer for the Serbian government. None of this was enough for them. We consulted with our experts, this did not mean recognition of independence. “We are in a series of meaningless things just for the Serbs to come out and vote, but they demanded only one thing – for Serbia to recognize Kosovo’s independence,” Vucic said.
He also says that after the talks with the Serbs “for the first time there were uncoordinated positions”.
“I am obliged to follow exactly what happened and that for the first time we could not agree and coordinate activities. This does not mean that there is an intolerance between us, but I asked our Serbs from Kosovo for patience, to count to 10, to calm down ova I was asked to think and believe in my experience, and in the moment “in which we are,” he said.
