The American singer R.Kelly was sentenced a few days ago to 30 years in prison for organized crime, sexual abuse and trafficking.
Top Albania Radio writes that the security for him has been doubled since, according to the authorities, it is suspected that the rapper is at risk of suicide.
This decision was taken after the observations of the psychologists, who testified after the sessions with the prisoner, stating that the latter could harm himself.
On the other hand, the rapper’s lawyer has assured the authorities that there is no such intention from his client and the doubling of security is unnecessary.
Meanwhile, after all this media uproar, “YouTube” has recently announced that it has removed the R&B singer’s channels from the platform.
Two of his channels, RKellyTV and RKellyVevo, have been removed from one of the world’s largest video platforms, and the singer will no longer be able to create or own any other YouTube channels.
His music catalog will still be available on YouTube Music, YouTube’s audio streaming service, and videos uploaded by other YouTube users will continue to be available.
It is not known whether Spotify, Apple and Amazon will also take similar action on R.Kelly’s music found on their platforms.
The 54-year-old’s music has largely disappeared from radio, but is still available on several platforms.
His smash hit “I Believe I Can Fly” has been a staple at graduation ceremonies for many years.
We recall that in a recent interview, the ex-wife of the artist, Drea Kelly, revealed that her heart is broken because of the children after reports of abuse and sexual trafficking by the rapper.
Following the news, Kelly’s ex-wife, with whom he has three children, appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain to discuss the incident further.
