The Council of Ministers has approved the new policy related to study programs that are a national priority and to financially support excellent students and students attending public universities one of the programs considered a national priority.

After a detailed analysis of enrollments in recent years in public universities in various programs and the interest expressed by universities, a list of priority programs were compiled which belong to humanities, natural sciences, engineering, agriculture, veterinary, services, etc. .
Students who will benefit in public universities except fees and scholarships that are as much as the minimum wage for each month of study are 3 categories.
All those who finish the three years of study with a grade point average of 10 and the Matura exams with over 9.5, benefit from the scholarship and exemption from fees, although they choose any type of branch they prefer.
The second category of graduates who benefit, are those with a minimum average of 8.5 and choose one of the priority programs.
Another category of beneficiaries are graduates who have occupied one of the first 3 places in international olympiads, in which there are at least 15 participating countries. The program they choose is related to the field where it received the award.
Students who benefit from this decision of the council of ministers have the legal obligation to work in the public sector after graduation for at least 3 years, as the purpose of this decision is to increase the efficiency of the Fund of Excellence.
Meanwhile, the Excellence Fund will continue for students who have been winners in previous years, until the completion of their studies. Today’s decision does not affect the benefits to students from the Pact for the University, they will continue to be the same.
