Two months ago, Fiks denounced the scandal that was taking place in the Albanian justice and forensic medicine, who were trying to save a murderer from prison.
Blerta Treska, a citizen from Korça who raised her voice that the killer of her husband is coming out of prison as mentally ill. Forensic doctors have diagnosed him with schizophrenia. Neighbor Apostol Bozhgolli killed her husband by stabbing him several times for banal motives. He then quietly went to his house trying to hide all traces and then lay down to sleep.
But despite the macabre crime the perpetrator had committed he had normal behavior in the community. This is also confirmed by a previous forensic report which states that the perpetrator does not suffer from any mental illness and is responsible for the criminal offense committed. This report was not accepted by the defense counsel, who requested a re-examination. Request accepted by the court. In the last report, the doctors come out with another position where it is said that the perpetrator of the crime should be released from prison with compulsory treatment, as he suffers from schizophrenia. Meanwhile, the victim’s wife says that this report is not accurate, as a decision was made based on a 1985 card and a document from the Elbasan Psychiatric Hospital in 1974, which do not accurately determine the diagnosis. The 1985 card establishes the diagnosis of Debilitas, while the 1974 document establishes the diagnosis of schizophrenia. The victim’s wife Blerta Treska seeks the help of Fiks for justice.
Fiksi revealed the whole chain of falsifications of expertise acts to save from prison the murderer who stabbed his neighbor in Korça. Fiks’s investigation showed how forensic doctors found the killer irresponsible before the law, presenting as evidence medical prescriptions that contained medications for digestive system problems and not medications for mental health problems.

After the broadcast on Fiks Fare, on January 26 of this year, the Korça Court of Appeals overturned the decision of the court of first instance, which imposed compulsory treatment on the killer and the termination of the criminal offense against him, because according to this court the perpetrator did not could be convicted because he suffered from the mental illness of schizophrenia.
After analyzing the entire file, the actions of the prosecution, forensic doctors, and the court of first instance, who were of the opinion that the perpetrator of the murder should not be convicted because he suffered from schizophrenia, the appellate court returned the acts to the prosecution for further investigation and conducting a psychiatric examination of the perpetrator of the murder with a group of experts consisting of 3 psychiatric experts.
So, all the efforts of the doctors, the prosecution and the court of first instance of Korça to escape from prison and to leave only with compulsory medication the man who stabbed his neighbor to death in his house, were thwarted by the court of appeal.
After the investigation of Fiks and the decision taken by the court of appeals to overturn the dismissal of the case, the wife of the deceased thanked Fiks knowing that in this show he would find the missing justice.
