Prime Minister Rama spoke tonight at ‘Open’ regarding the current situation in the Democratic Party, the battle between the current chairman Lulzim Basha and the former historical leader, Sali Berisha, while the latter was expelled from the parliamentary group after being declared ‘non grata’.
Prime Minister Rama says that according to him, neither Basha nor Berisha have political legitimacy, even though the leader of the Democrats, Basha, is officially recognized by the Court as the chairman of the blue headquarters.
“Who should I call? Tell me, who should I call? To me no they are not! I’m talking about political legitimacy, I’m not talking about the seal. Lulzim has the seal! You see what the Democrats have done, madness! I am not appointing the chairman of the Democratic Party. Who should I call? I’m doing an analysis, I know them all. I had them on my back! “The Americans say that we know this president because he has the stamp and has the legitimacy. I am talking about political legitimacy and I say that in these conditions we have a PD that is no longer a PD, it is a separate thing with armored doors”, said the prime minister.
Asked if he is interested in the Democratic Party being anti-American, Rama said:
“Why did you interest me, do you think that I am a man as close as you who are a profession that requires you to be provocative. No, I’m not in the third term, I want things not to be related to my interest but to the interest of the country, and it is not to be a former prime minister non grata. It is and deserves to be ‘nog grata’! We are dealing with a formal legitimacy, if commissions are made, they are formal but have no political legitimacy. The more challenging the position, the more problematic it is that you who govern are on the alert to do things and that is why I say that it is one of the reasons I had the idea to talk directly to people, why would we deal with them? ” .
