It is our grandmothers and grandfathers who need as much care and love as possible so that they do not feel lonely. Mayor Sako listened to the requests of the elderly and talked to them about various issues. She said that the municipality of Durrës supports not only the elderly, but also other strata in need. Over 100 elderly people receive services in this center and in the conversation with them, the mayor Sako expressed her readiness to expand the services for them in these centers.
According to the mayor, such centers will be set up in the administrative units as well, in order to have the opportunity for the elderly to spend their free time and with the necessary care thanks to the services that will be expanded for them.
The Day Care Center for the Elderly aims to provide social services for the lonely and socially disadvantaged elderly. This center offers free of charge for its beneficiaries, psycho-social service, health service, food meals, information center and cultural, psycho-social activities.
