Fighter jets have approached US Navy patrol aircraft in the Mediterranean three times in recent days, Pentagon officials said.
The American P-8A was created as an anti-submarine aircraft but also for data collection in reconnaissance missions. Our planes were flying in international space over the Mediterranean Sea when the incidents occurred, the statement said.
