Russia hit military targets in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv with high-precision missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
Russia struck a fuel depot used by Ukrainian forces near Lviv with long-range missiles to hit a factory in the city that was being used to repair anti-aircraft systems and radar stations, the ministry said.
“The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue their offensive operations as part of a special military operation,” ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement.
The ministry showed videos of rocket attacks in Lviv.
Officials in Lviv, just 60km from the border with NATO member Poland, said people had been injured in the rocket attacks.
Russia also used sea-based long-range missiles to destroy an arsenal of S-300 missiles and BUK anti-aircraft missile systems near Kiev, the ministry said.
Russian forces also destroyed a number of drones, he said. REL
