For the sixth day in a row, the Yamal-Europe pipeline, which supplies gas to Western Europe from Russia, is sending gas back to Poland.
The data of the German supply network operator, Gascade, show that the gas flow at the Mallno metering point, on the Polish-German border, is heading east to Poland at a volume of 1.2 million kilowatt / hours.
This situation has angered Russian President Vladimir Putin, who accused Germany of reselling Russian gas to Poland and Ukraine, instead of easing the market with exorbitant prices. He blamed German gas importers for the gas bounce and for stratospheric prices. The German Ministry of Economy has not yet made any statement regarding these allegations. Meanwhile, the gas importing companies did not respond to requests for comment from the Reuters news agency.
Data from the Slovak pipeline operator Eustream show that the capacity of the Russian gas flow from Ukraine to Slovakia, through the Velke Kapusany border crossing, was at 739,826 megawatt-hours, slightly lower than on Saturday and much lower than the level of weeks last. This decline is balanced by the increase in gas shipments from the Czech Republic to Slovakia, which means that the flow from Slovakia to the Austrian point Baumgarten, continues to be relatively stable, compared to the level of recent days and weeks.
