About 12 thousand people were displaced yesterday from Ukraine to Russia, without the presence of Ukrainian authorities.
The Russian Ministry of Defense suggests that 1847 of them were children. The evacuation took place from the eastern region of Ukraine, specifically from Donetsk and Luhansk.
Russia claims the people have been evacuated at their request, while Ukraine has stated that Moscow has forcibly deported thousands of people to Russia since the start of the war.
According to Moscow, since February 24, about 1.1 million people have been evacuated from Ukraine to Russia, including about 200,000 children.
