A Russian brigade commander in Ukraine has been killed by his troops, according to Western officials.
Colonel Medvechek, who commanded the 37th Motorized Rifle Brigade, is believed to have been deliberately hit.
“The brigade commander was killed by his troops as a result of the scale of the losses suffered by his brigade,” an official was quoted as saying by Skyneas.
“We believe he was killed deliberately by his troops. “We believe he was killed by his troops,” the official added.
According to him, a general commanding the 49th Combined Arms Army has also died in combat, making him the seventh Russian general to be killed in the war since the beginning of the occupation.
