Russian troops have taken control of the eastern Ukrainian city of Kreminna.
The news was announced by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhii Haidai, who said that the Russians had entered the city and taken it under control. He referred to the Russians with the word ‘orc’, which means that the Russians resemble the race of elves, brutal warriors.
The evacuation of civilians continues as Russia attacks from all directions through intense aerial bombardment.
Haidai estimates that about 350,000 people lived in the region before Russian control came, while he now said there are only about 70,000 left.
“They have either left on their own or with the help of volunteers or religious organizations. They will go to the west of Ukraine,” Haidai said.
“People can decide if they want to go to Europe and get refugee status or if they want to find a job where they are, or if they want to wait until the victory and the end of the occupation and they can return to their homes. If those houses are still standing. “If not, the government is developing an accelerated construction program.” he said, adding that the russian bombings had destroyed almost all of the infrastructure.
“Everything is completely destroyed. Our repair crews can fix it a bit, but an hour later, new shelling destroys it again. It is the same process every time. “It’s a big problem.”
Regarding the number of civilian deaths, Haidai said it was “impossible” to give a number.
