Britain has again warned Russian President Vladimir Putin about Western sanctions in the event of a break in Ukraine. British Secretary of Defense Ben Wallace, that no one would gain from aggressive incursion into a sovereign state.
He immediately acknowledged that talks aimed at resolving the crisis in Ukraine were “slow”.
“Despite the talks, things are going the wrong way“Wallace told the BBC. “The Russians are still increasing the number of troops.
“They are planning to start a strategic nuclear drill soon.”
The British minister said Britain could send more troops to help support its allies in Eastern and Southern Europe if required.
His reaction comes at a time when Russia and Belarus have launched joint military exercises that are expected to last 10 days.
